About the Presenter
Andrea Halverson is the Director of Professional Learning and Development at Kaleidoscope Charter School in Otsego, MN. In this position, she provides professional development and training for teachers, observes and coaches teachers, and coordinates the new teacher induction program. Before working at KCS, she spent time as a K-12 technology integration specialist.
Prior to her work in technology, she taught elementary and middle school music for nine years. She holds a BA and an MA in Music Education from the University of St. Thomas. She is certified in both the Kodály and Orff Schulwerk approaches. She is currently serving as the MKMEA Executive Treasurer and is a past president of the Kodály Chapter of Minnesota. She is a frequent presenter of both music and technology at local, state, and regional music education conferences.
