A message from the Principal
Casey Families,
Please keep an eye out for information regarding our Parent Conferences in November. Informational letters have been mailed and should arrive in your mailboxes within the next few days. It’s important to take a moment to review the details, as there have been a few changes this year, including a shift from student-led to a traditional teacher-led conference format. For added convenience, a digital version is also attached to this newsletter.
I’m excited to update you on the progress of our Character Education Wednesday program! So far, students have been engaged in mini-lessons focused on important traits like the Other People Mindset, Curiosity, Teamwork, Open-Mindedness, Being Present and Attentive, Integrity, and Creativity. Teachers have been impressed with the high level of student participation, and the morning discussions around these traits have been both insightful and meaningful.
Lastly, I want to express how proud I am of our school community during Unity Week. The overwhelming generosity and support for Keeley’s mission have been truly heartwarming, and we are so grateful for your donations.
Thank you for your continued partnership,
Dr. Curella, Principal
Engineering & Technology Spotlight
Technology and Engineering Teachers Jeff Addison and Adam Zubricky created an unforgettable experience for our students with the launch of their rockets. Their hands-on approach not only captivated the students’ imaginations but also provided them with a valuable opportunity to apply the principles of engineering and physics in a real-world setting.
Are you a 7th or 8th grader and interested in doing more amazing projects like this? Join the Technology Student Association! Compete against schools from across Western New York and unleash your creativity through woodworking, electronics, 3D printing, laser cutting, robotics, and more! The club meets Thursdays after school until 4:30 in room 130.

Helpful Reminders
EARLY RELEASES
If you are picking up your child for an early release that has been arranged with attendance, you will need to come into the Casey Main Entrance to sign your child out. Please remember to send in a note for early releases, late arrivals, and absences. You can also report your student's attendance by logging into WITS and clicking on the Daily Attendance line on the homepage.
DROPPING OFF FORGOTTEN ITEMS
If you are dropping off an item for your student, please ensure the item is labeled with the student’s name. For your convenience, post-it notes are available in our lobby across from the green drop-off carts. For sanitary reasons, we ask that any clothing items or shoes be placed in a bag before dropping them off. Your cooperation is appreciated.
VISITORS TO CASEY
All District buildings, including Casey Middle School, are using the RAPTOR system to sign visitors in/out. All visitors must enter the building at the main entrance on Casey Road. Please be prepared to show government issued ID, such as a valid driver’s license, upon entering Casey. We will scan your ID and issue a visitors badge to be worn for the duration of your visit.
PARKING LOT REMINDER
Please avoid parking in the bus loop in front of the main entrance during morning arrivals (8:30-9:00am) and afternoon dismissal (3:15-3:45pm) so that your car does not get trapped by the buses coming into the loop. If you are coming to the school during these times, please park in the lot just north of the bus loop near the 5th grade wing.
Make Up Picture Day
Make Up Picture Day at Casey is Tuesday, Nov 5th!
Upstate Images will be here only in the morning of 11/5 to take make-up photos. Click or scan the QR code and use code: casey24 to order photos for your student(s). If you need another copy of the flier to make a cash or check payment, you or your student may request one from the Main Office. If you are having your photo retaken, please remember to bring back any original photos and/or proofs that you may have already received. These will be handed in to the photographers at the time of the retake.
