ATTENTION CLASS of 2025!!
If you haven’t completed the REQUIRED survey at tinyurl.com/CentralYorkSeniorSurvey, please do it now!
Remember that participating in graduation requires that seniors fulfill ALL of their graduation requirements (tinyurl.com/cyhsgradrequirements). Seniors who fail to meet the requirements will NOT walk in the graduation ceremony.
Many scholarships have deadlines this month. Check out our list at tinyurl.com/cyscholarshiplist - which is updated frequently - and see more info at tinyurl.com/scholarshipprocedure.
If you’re going to college, go ahead to Parchment.com to order your final transcript, but remember to change ‘Send Now’ to ‘Hold for Grades’ so that we send it after grades are finalized.
ATTENTION JUNIORS!!
Please look for the letter coming to your home soon from CYHS that allows you to have your name REMOVED from the list of students we give to military recruiters. If you do NOT return this letter, we WILL include your name and contact information on the list.
If you plan to have a free period next year, you MUST submit the form found at tinyurl.com/CYHSfreeperiod.
If you want to take the SAT on June 7, be sure to register on sat.org by May 22.
If you want to take the ACT on June 14, be sure to register on act.org by May 9.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
As the school year comes to a close, students are reminded to STAY FOCUSED in their classes. Students in danger of failing a class should be paying extra attention to the work they are submitting and should be spending time DAILY reviewing the material for each class.
Please remember that final exams are worth 20% of the grade for a class. Having marking period grades that are 70% or lower puts a student in considerable danger of failing a course, given the academic rigor of final course exams.
In these final weeks, students are encouraged to seek help from teachers and peer tutors to ensure that they earn passing grades in all classes. Summer school information is available in the School Counseling Office for any students who may need this resource to remain in their proper grade placement.
To be promoted to grade 10, a student must earn 7 credits.
To be promoted to grade 11, a student must earn 14 credits.
To be promoted to grade 12, a student must earn 20 credits.
For further information, please contact your school counselor.

School Lunches Update
High School lunches are $3.00 each day. A la carte items from other food lines are available at an additional cost.
Students with a negative food account balance of $5.00 or more cannot add the additional a la carte items from the alternative food lines to their meals. The daily lunch menu meal will still be available for these students.
