A Strong Start
A Strong Start
The Superintendent's Blog
The start of school can be a sprint. Waking up early, organizing backpacks, lunches, and snacks, and getting on a schedule - it takes a few weeks to pull it all together. It's the same in my home, except I'm not just dropping off kids, I also get to go to school, and it's the best part of my job. Since the start of school, I've had the opportunity to be in all thirty-five Millard schools, and I want to share some of the wonderful moments I’ve seen. There has been so much positive energy and student engagement. It’s always a uniquely inspiring time of year to spend time in a classroom when a teacher is setting up the foundation for a great year ahead.
Our staff is committed to making sure each student is supported and challenged. Whether it’s through engaging lessons, thoughtful discussions, or hands-on projects, our classrooms are focused on growth and achievement. It’s clear that everyone - students, teachers, and staff - is putting in the effort to make this a great year in Millard Public Schools.
I’ve also enjoyed visiting with many of you at these first events and activities. There will be many opportunities this fall where I hope to see you. Whether it’s a game, concert, or another activity, whenever families come out to schools, it reminds me of the community we are so fortunate to have. Your willingness to show up and support your children and your children's friends and classmates is what makes us Millard.
As we move forward, I’m excited to see how the year unfolds. We will continue to keep you informed through district and school newsletters and emails. I also encourage you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to catch the fun moments. Thank you for your continued support and involvement—it truly makes a difference in our schools. Let’s keep this momentum going as we work together to make this school year the best for your students.
