SCHOOL NEWS
The Ohio Department of Health vision & hearing screenings have been completed recently at Montgomery Elementary for kindergarten, first and third grade students. The goal of the school screening program is to identify children who have possible vision or hearing disorders at an early age & refer for diagnosis and care by vision and hearing specialists.
This year’s screening program was a huge success both in reassuring our students, and in identifying those children in need of further care.
A heartfelt “Thank You” to the following parents and friends of Montgomery Elementary who volunteered their time and energies to these important screenings:
Terry Lee Davis
Lauren Carrier
Alicia Murphy
Cindy Cohen
Michelle Breen (parent coordinator)

Molly Duffey
Rich Linville
Carrie Steenbergen
Sara Buitendacht
Seon Keum

MAKE A DIFFERENCE COMMITTEE
Hello Montgomery Elementary families! Would you like some help cleaning out your closets/garage? The Make a Difference committee will be collecting donations of sports equipment for Winton Hills Academy the week of November 6th. They are primarily looking for tennis, basketball and soccer equipment as those are the sports that the students are learning about right now. If you have any items to donate please leave them in the Make a Difference box that will be located under the stairs by the pig. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Please contact Carly Lawless with any questions-Carly.lawless@hotmail.com
CARNIVAL
The Super Carnival will be back at Montgomery Elementary this January! Mark your calendars for Friday, January 26 from 5:30-9:00. You won’t want to miss this fun-filled evening for our Montgomery Community.
The Carnival Committee is still looking for a few more volunteers to help with the upfront planning. Specifically we are looking for a Food Co-Chair and a Games Co-Chair. (We already have one volunteer in each position, so you would be working with someone.) We are also looking for volunteers to help our Silent Auction/Donations Committee. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Betsy Rinehart at betsyrinehart@cinci.rr.com or Kristy Felss at kfelss@cinci.rr.com for more information about these roles.
