Online Safety Speaker
Special Agent Jason Swan of the U.S. Secret Service will present internet safety programs to our students on March 18, 2025. Agent Swan has been a highly-rated speaker at the district's SAFETiNET conference for the past two years, and his sessions have been extremely well-attended.
In addition to the student assemblies, Agent Swan will also present a special program for parents and the public at 7:00 PM on March 18, 2025, in the Secondary School Auditorium. This presentation will summarize the student sessions and offer valuable information for parents on how to help their children navigate the online world safely.
Parents who wish to opt their child out of the daytime assembly should provide written notice to their child's school office.

School Spotlight
Our school counselors, Mrs. Bachman and Mrs. Hall, have been sharing information with classes regarding conflict resolution. Discussed were tips on how to independently manage conflict, differentiating between little problems and big problems, and when to go to an adult for help.
Each day, our teachers strive to make learning fun and applicable to students' lives. Here, Mrs. Rudy is having some fun by playing Perfection to build skills with students!
AE's Reading Olympics Team, the Book Slayers, had a fantastic day competing at IU13 this week. They competed for three rounds and earned 53 points, which got them a blue ribbon! The last round was their best one. They knew that they needed 19 points to earn a blue ribbon. They worked hard and earned 22 points in that round! Way to go, Book Slayers!
Sixth-grade students have been working hard on their wax museum projects! Over the last several days they have been putting the finishing touches on their research, write-ups, speeches, and tri-fold boards. We can't wait to see it all come together later this week!
This weekend's THON was on the minds of many of our students. Whether through donations for our toy drive or a sweet message, AE wants to support the work of the Four Diamonds Organization. For the Kids!
