What's happening in our library!!!
Collaboration
We have collaboration time built in every week!!!!
Each week we work with the classroom teachers in the library with their curriculum or just time to explore the library.
We have had up to three classes in the library collaborating on several projects ranging from plays to reading assessments.
Multiple classes
Research
ELA Enrichment
Students are now coming to the library to enhance their reading abilities during their RAM time.
Enrichment is 30 minutes once a week, where we can explore, inspire and create new lessons and activities through the joy of reading.
Research for our story
The students use programs such as Worldbook and Pebblego to create a google slide presentation about the story we are going read.
Flexible seating for ELA
When students are working on research, reading, group activities or worksheets they can use any space in the library.
Group reading and activities
Here the students are reading a picture book to prepare them for the chapter book we are about to begin.
Mrs. Hoffman our secretary wanted to stop in to enjoy the story as well.
Morning Announcements
While discussing strategies and procedures for this upcoming virtual day the teachers thought it would be a fun idea to have something special for the students in case they were a bit nervous about their first virtual day of the year.
Ms. Sloan and I started to collaborate on a special morning announcement about overcoming your fears and being able to learn anywhere.
We made a fun announcement about the little butterfly that could.
