Happy Friday Tiger Academy Families!
Happy Thanksgiving! If you are traveling, please travel safe! We hope you enjoy this time with family and friends!
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Misunderstanding
We are aware that an AI system has interpreted our notification from Sunday, November 24, about PINK OUT for Ms. Thomas as having no school. In the future, if you receive an AI message that doesn't seem right, what we are asking is for you to click on the message itself to obtain the correct announcement from us.
As we move into this new era of digital intelligence, please remember and help us teach your scholar that computers are programed to look for certain key words. They are not always as intelligent as a human. Sometimes, we need to fact check what AI is interpreting.

The More You Know...Health Edition: Is it a COLD or is it the FLU?
The cold and flu season is upon us. It is important that you be informed and stay healthy! Please check out the following article and infographic to learn more!
5 Ways to Fight the Flu https://kidshealth.org/en/teens/fight-flu.html
Tiger Academy and DCPS Safety
The consequences of school threats: In just the last two months, seven students have been arrested by school police in relation to making a school threat. Additional arrests have been made by JSO. This is a very disappointing number to share, especially when compared to the fact that in the same time frame last year, no students were arrested in relation to making a school threat. We share this information to demonstrate how seriously we take threats to student safety. Making a threat is never a joke. In some cases, it is a felony, and students can face severe criminal penalties. Please talk with your children. Emphasize that whether it’s written or verbal or whether it’s said as a joke or in a moment of anger, threats will be treated seriously and can result in life-changing consequences.
Late Pick-Up Fees
REMINDER! Late Fees for Late Pick-Ups
We understand that sometimes things happen that we cannot predict. However, to help ensure proper supervision of every scholar and ensure that our staff can go home to their families on time, please read the policy for late fees:
