Willow Parent Bulletin # 26

This week is 4 regular days of school and then EVERYONE is remote on Friday when both the morning and afternoon classes get together from 8-11:30. After that you have a long break and your wildcat doesn't come back or login again until Wednesday, April 7th!

If you are planning to travel during spring break, please be sure to check out the guidelines from the CDC:https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html We want to be sure that anyone returning to the building after travel is safe to do so.

Whatever you decide, we hope you enjoy the time with your family and create some new memories together! Next week is Spirit Week! Feel free to dress according to the schedule below.

We are unable to hold Kindergarten Orientation this year, but are working on a video just for you! If you have a child who will turn 5 on or before September 1, 2021, he/she can start with us in August.

You can pick up your Kindergarten Registration packet beginning on Wednesday, March 24th. The Willow Office is open from 8AM-3:30 PM. On the 24th, we will be here until 6:30 for anyone who can't make it during the day or anyone who has questions. The nurse will also be available. If you come in the evening, please enter through Door B.

Registration will be done online starting April 12-May 21. Even with registration online, you still need to pick up the packet from us because of all the other information it contains. Once your registration gets processed at the District Office and sent to Willow, we will call you to set up a screening date for your child in July.

Cosmo and the Robot, written and illustrated by award winning author and illustrator Brian Pinkney, is a fantasy story about a young family living on another planet. Cosmo and his sister, Jewel, have many adventures; one of which involves a robot named Rex. Cosmo saves the day using items from his Super Solar System Utility Belt. Cosmo and the Robot can be found through the library system.

Parent Instructions on how to access Home Links and Resources after Erin’s Law presentations:

2. Enter the Kit Activation Code as assigned by your child’s grade level;

3. Go to Second Step Child Protection Unit.

4. Click on View Family Resources on the Family Resources tab.

6. Click on Home Links & Family Resources.

7. Click on Lessons 1 & 2 Home Links for details on lessons being taught as well as activities you can do with your child to reinforce the concepts taught.
