1. Are you a future Bakersfield College Renegade? The City of Shafter grants a $250 scholarship to all Shafter High seniors planning to attend Bakersfield College. The only requirement is a 2.5 or higher GPA. The application deadline is February 1st.

1. The Kern Community Foundation Scholarship is now available online.

This Application gives you the opportunity to participate in more than a dozen scholarship opportunities.

The only requirements are

• Being a high school senior in the Kern County
• A 2.0 or higher GPA
• Planning to attend a two-year college, four-year university or accredited technical school
