Principal Christmas Message
Happy Holidays to our Wolverine Families 2024
✨ Holiday Greetings!
DCHS Parents,
This newsletter is packed full of student successes and highlights from our Fall Semester. Please share this positive news with as many friends and family members as possible. ONE negative incident can sometimes overshadow so many great and exciting things that happen in our schools. It seems to take more effort to spread all the wonderful things your kids do on a weekly basis. Help us spread the good news! They deserve it. HARD WORK PAYS OFF! 🎅🏼✨
Moments to Celebrate 🙌
Pictured above: (L to R) Arianna Harbaugh, Hailey Gerrells, Katie Barger and Philip Stafford. The annual TSA Fall Leadership Conference was held at Jekyll Island on November 7-10. The students competed in the Electric Vehicle Rally "60 Minutes at the Dunes" and the Armada Cardboard Boat Race. They were able to bring home 2nd place in the Lead Acid Division. Special thanks to teacher and TSA sponsor, Mike Beeler, to our sponsors, and to Trinity Stafford.
Along with Lexi Lawson, pictured above, eight other Lady Wolverines were recognized by coaches in Region 7A-D1 for their accomplishments during their softball season. 1st Team All-Region: Adilynn Gross (Sr.), Madi Page (Jr.), Isabell White (Jr.), and Riley Talley (Soph.). 2nd Team All-Region: Lilah Wilson (Sr.), Rylee Byram (Jr. ) and Winter Daniel (Fr.). Honorable Mention: Camy Chambers (Jr.).
Great job to our competition cheerleaders and coaches Josh Hurst and Becky Goff! Cheerleaders practice about nine to ten months out of the year. This year makes the fifth year in a row our DCHS Cheerleaders have been about to travel to Macon and compete for a State Championship with fifteen other teams. Keep working girls!
Both the Boys and Girls Cross Country Team qualified for the State Championships. It had been fifteen years since both teams represented DCHS at the State Championships. Congratulations to both teams and Coach Phil Bell for your hard work and commitment.
The DCHS 2024 Wolverine Football team graduates about seventeen seniors. Those guys can say their teams accomplished the goal of qualifying for the State Playoffs every year. Congratulations to all the players and coaches.
