November Library Activities
- We read Twenty-One Steps and Animal Heroes to learn more about our Veterans.
- We have done an Acrostic Poem using the word VETERAN.
- We read Thank You Omu! and We Are Grateful-Otsaliheiga.
- We made our own Gratitude Pot.
- We finished out the month reading Thank You, Sarah, and writing a "thank you" to someone in the building.

December Library Activities
- We read Grandpa Grumps and All-Of-A Kind Family Hanukkah.
- We had a discussion on cookbooks and cooking.
- I passed out a cookbook to every kiddo to keep with directions for the family to choose a recipe together to make.
- They are asked to take pictures and email to our schools social media siteand to also fill out a "Recipe Recollections" card and return it to me for a prize.
- We will also be reading Memoirs of An Elf and An Orange For Frankie.
- This book will be followed with us making a list of books we would like to "gift" to people if we could.

Whale Song by Zachariah Ohora
This nonfiction book details the story of Paul Horn, a flute player, who started playing music for two whales in captivity, and then Dr. Paul Spong, who was studying the whales. This is a great nonfiction book for anyone interested in music, or Orca Whales.
Leo's First Vote by Christina Soontornvat
Leo is worried that his Dad’s vote won’t count, but as he learns about elections along the way. A great read aloud for election season.
