The Principal's Desk
Hello!
Welcome back! We are excited to have started second semester and I hope all of you enjoyed winter break. It has been a great start to the semester, and we look forward to continuing the positive momentum in the months ahead.
We have already met with each grade level to reinforce school expectations and goals including:
- Academic expectations to support each student's growth
- Behavioral standards to maintain our positive environment
- Reminding students to take care of themselves as we navigate through the semester
This presentation reinforced our commitment to promote academic excellence and a providing a supportive environment for our students.
One important date that is coming up is Parent Teacher Conferences on February 14. Conferences will be conducted during school hours on this day. On April 9th, 2025, KHS will administer state testing. Freshman will be taking the PreACT 9 Secure, Sophomores will take the PreACT, and Juniors will take the ACT. More information regarding the state assessments will be sent at a later date.
Finally, as we focus on achieving academic goals over the semester, we encourage all of our students to take care of themselves and reach out to teachers, our counselor, or administrators if they need support -- We are here to help!
I look forward to seeing the growth of our students over the next four months.
Have a good 3 day weekend!
