Knowledge Bowl kicked off the start to their season this week with two meets.

Pictured above, Hannah, Carlee, Cassius, and Reed, show off their 2nd place ribbons from Wednesday's Varsity meet in Fergus Falls. A Junior team of Connor, Migizii, Kayana, Neveah, and Cherish received 5th place at that competition. Sisseton's 6 other teams also faired well and are ready to compete again in two weeks.

Friday, three teams traveled to Barrett, MN and the team of Ryder, Mason, Corbyn, and Bryson--pictured at right taking their written test as part of the competition--brought home 4th place.

Students in Ms. Eclevia's English III class recently put together some impressive dioramas to help them better understand the Vietnam War as part of a researching and writing unit.

Beth Meyer, District FFA officer, attended the district officer training in Pierre this week. She is pictured, along with the other district officers from NE South Dakota during their state capitol visit. FFA members also had the opportunity to attend a breakfast and chat with the state legislators on Thursday morning.

Stay caught up with your homework and grades by participating in Homework Help every Thursday in the SHS library from 3:20-5:00 pm. Come for a quiet space to work and extra support from teachers.

What is one of your favorite things about teaching? I find it fulfilling when students show interest and curiosity in any of the Biology topics.

What is your favorite dish from the cafeteria? BBQ sandwich

How do you spend your summer breaks? Enjoying family time, exploring new places, and joining dance classes

What is something interesting about yourself? I’m naturally an introvert, but I can quickly switch gears like when I’m performing hip hop dance or any other dance styles. It’s a fun contrast for me — quiet by nature, but confident in the spotlight 😃
