CULINARY STUDENTS PRACTICING KNIFE SKILLS

PRE ENGINEERING SPAGHETTI TOWERS

The Pre-Engineering students had two days to create the tallest tower using only masking tape and uncooked spaghetti. The end product had to fit in a 8"x8" square, be self supporting, and be able to hold a tennis ball. There were some clever solutions, with the winner choosing to suspend the tennis ball with a length of tape, lowering the tower's center of gravity.

EXPLOSION PROOF AND ELECTRICITY

Chris Dowdy is one of the members of the Bath Tech Electricals Advisory committee. Chris invited Jeremy to speak with the class and show products that are explosion-proof. Jeremy works for a company named Killark (get it? KILL ARC--explosion proof--yea). This week, they visited our electricity class talking with the students about their product and the electricity industry. In addition to the great toys he brought, Jeremy gave insight on the necessity of explosion-proof equipment. Our electricity students gave Chris and Jeremy a tour of Bath Tech and they marveled at what our school has to offer. Thank you Chris for your constant support of Bath Tech and to Killark for sharing Jeremy with our class.
