How is this our last week of school in the year 2024? Thank you to all of our students, staff, parents, and parishioners who have helped make the first half of the school year a great success. We could not do it without everyone's support.

Children's Choir: I heard the children's choir did an amazing job on Sunday. Thank you to Molly Armstrong for spearheading this opportunity for our children and to our parent helpers. Thank you to our children who shared their singing talent.

Friday, December 20, 2024:

• Students can wear an appropriate Christmas shirt or a red or green shirt with uniform bottoms and a Santa hat, if they have one.
• 8:00--all school Mass (no Santa hats)
• 10:00--brunch will begin
• 11:30--classroom parties
• 12:30--dismissal/WITH bus service/NO after school care
• All students must be picked up by 12:30 p.m.

Explorer Museum: The 5th graders hosted their Explorer Museum this week in the gym. They researched an explorer, created a visual, and memorized information about their explorer. The presentations and costumes were excellent. Great job!

Helias Visit: Helias counselors came to St. Stan School to help the 8th graders with selecting their classes for their freshman year. What an exciting time for them as they prepare for the next chapter in their lives!

Goodies and Gifts: Thank you for showering our staff with goodies and gifts over the last couple of weeks. Everyone has enjoyed being spoiled, and we are very blessed.

Staff Christmas Party: Our staff will have a Christmas party after school on Friday. Thank you to the Knights of Columbus for providing the food and hosting the event. Thank you to our School Advisory Council for decorating and providing the dessert and drinks. We appreciate your generosity and support.

School & Parish Holiday Closure: The school and parish offices will be closed from December 23, 2024 to January 3, 2025. They will both reopen on Monday, January 6, 2025.

In the event of inclement weather, families will be notified in a text alert and email through FACTS. In most cases, a decision will be made by 6:30 a.m.

Early Dismissal: If we have an early dismissal due to inclement weather there will NOT be after school care. Other arrangements will need to be made if your child normally attends after care.

Late Start: In the event of a late start, students can be dropped off at 9:20 a.m. and school will begin at 9:40 a.m. There will be NO early morning care.
