Week of October 28th

Week of April 21, 2025
LOHS Thunder,
Looking ahead I want to make everyone aware of a change in our schedule during the first week of June.
Due to us needing to change the date of our graduation ceremony to Wednesday, June 4, we are going to shift that week’s late start schedule. Considering we have several underclassmen and staff participating in the ceremony, we are moving our late start schedule to the day after graduation, Thursday, June 5. We will also be rescheduling the original Wednesday OSTC LO day to Thursday, June 5. Bus transportation will still be available for students who need it. We kindly ask OSTC students to inform their instructors of this change and plan accordingly.
Thank you.
Protect the Thunder.
Dr. Haas

Attendance Matters
The most important factor in a student’s success in school is simply showing up
To avoid these negative consequences of missing school, parents should set high expectations for regular school attendance with their children at the earliest ages possible. It’s important for parents to know that it is never too late be set a good example. Although frequently absent children will undoubtably be suffering negative impacts, parents can show that attendance is important and establish high expectations for school attendance at any age; the earlier the better!
REMINDER - Important Parking Information
As a reminder, Lake Orion High School is going through a construction period that will change the parking availability for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year.
The lower pool entrance lot will not be available for parking as the construction of the new auxiliary gym is taking place. Additionally, the current student lot will be altered to make room for the community pool parking needs. Additional parking will be available south of the football stadium in the lots marked "D" on the diagram. Please be patient and give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes of time in the morning as we all adjust to this change.
Please refer to the map below for a visual of the changes that went into effect March 24, 2025.
