BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING - TONIGHT, THURSDAY, JANUARY 9, 2025
The next Board of Education Meeting will be this evening, Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. Board meetings will continue to be streamed live and can be accessed on the website prior to the start of the meeting at www.sbschools.org.
We welcome and invite anyone who would like to make a public comment at any of our Board of Education meetings to please attend the in-person meeting. Although not required, the Board requests that residents who are interested in speaking at a Board meeting register with the Board Secretary's office prior to the meeting by calling (732) 297-7800, extension 3110 or by emailing marcia.garitano@sbschools.org. Residents will be heard during the portion of the meeting designated for public comment.
At this meeting, our elected and re-elected board members will be sworn in.
WEATHER ADVISORY
The District may implement its automated telephone communication system at any time. This communication enables administration to reach thousands of phone numbers in a matter of minutes. This system is used to communicate emergency information, including but not limited to inclement weather closings, early dismissals due to inclement weather or other such emergencies that are deemed important by the District.
In such instances, parents or guardians will need to have emergency accommodations in place. This information is pulled from the Genesis Parent Portal. Parents should log into the Genesis Parent Portal and click on the Contacts tab at the top of the screen. Once on the contact screen, the parent can add or update their phone numbers. The important part is to set the Notification flags (Emergency and Non-Emergency). Once done, click the “Save All Changes” button.
