Bilingual Parent/Caregiver Advisory Council
BPAC Meeting on January 6, 2025 at 7:00 PM
Join us for the first meeting of 2025!
The mission of the Framingham BPAC is to promote the education and integration of students
who are English Learners with a focus on ensuring quality of education, socialization, and
cultural interaction. BPAC gathers concerns from families and presents them to the appropriate
district and state administrators.
The BPAC works with district administrators responsible for ELE (English Learner Education) programs to identify systemic problems and to develop, implement, and evaluate improvement plans. Framingham BPAC also seeks to serve as a united voice for students who are learning English as an additional language and their families.
We need your help!
All families of students currently or formerly identified as English Learners/ Emergent Bilingual are are part of the BPAC!
Exciting News! We also forming a new board that includes a chairperson, vice chairperson and secretary.
Members of the BPAC can nominate someone or themselves for the role!
We will be voting for a chairperson, vice chairperson and secretary at our meeting!
BPAC Elections and Meeting
Please join us to learn about the BPAC, meet members of the Framingham Public Schools Department of Multilingual and have the opportunity to participate in the BPAC board election process.
We hope to see you on January 6th!

The purpose of the Framingham BPAC is to:
(a) advocate for excellence in all programs serving students identified as English Learners/ Emergent Bilingual.
(b) partner with district leaders to provide family support, communication and information to
achieve the program goals offered to students identified as English Learners/ Emergent Bilingual.
(c) promote a network of guardians/ caregivers of students identified English learners/ Emergent Bilingual.
(d) provide a forum to share information and discuss matters of concern and interest of students identified English learners/ Emergent Bilingual.
The BPAC will work with the district to celebrate the many cultures and languages represented
in FPS, and to recognize multilingualism as enormous assets and skill sets.
The Framingham BPAC supports this purpose by:
(a) advocating for all programs serving students identified as English Learners/ Emergent Bilingual.
needs, including Dual Language, Sheltered English Immersion, Transitional Bilingual Education.
(b) advising the school district and school committee on matters related to students identified as English Learners/ Emergent Bilingual.
(c) meeting regularly with school or district leaders to participate in the planning and
development of programs to improve educational opportunities for students identified as English Learners/ Emergent Bilingual.
(d) providing support and educational information to families of students identified as English Learners/ Emergent Bilingual.
(e) facilitating and fostering relationships among schools, parents, teachers, and district staff.
