This fall, the marquee will be replaced at Garden Ridge Elementary and Old Settlers Elementary; new track & field lighting will be installed at Flower Mound High School, and more. Students in Family and Consumer Sciences classes took on the roles of both hiring manager and job applicant to practice professional interview skills. SEE MORE

Students at Old Settlers Elementary participated in Family Traditions Night, providing an opportunity for families to showcase their traditional foods and share information about their backgrounds. SEE MORE

Students at McKamy Middle School had the opportunity to tour the TECC-West and TECC-East Career and Technical Education Centers to preview the courses available for students seeking one of the many CTE pathways available in LISD. SEE MORE

• Katrina Kuroda, Wellington Elementary | "Miss Katrina is a gem. She always has a smile on her face and brings joy to the cafeteria while also bringing peace to chaos. She loves on the kids and encourages them to be kind to their friends. Even though she is newer to the school she already learned so many of the students names. She encourages them to help and play a part in making lunch time a success. She is wonderful and our family is grateful for her.”
