FAC Weekly Update
October 28, 2023
Good Morning, FAC Family
We hope you had a terrific week! Let's kick of this newsletter with a shout-out to our FAC Chamber Strings Studio. The students did an outstanding job at their first recital of the school year, which took place on Thursday evening. Congrats to all of our AM and PM students! We also would like to thank Jennifer John (FAC Chamber Strings Instructor) for bringing in the Aspen String Trio for a day of masterclasses and an evening performance on Tuesday. This experience was funded by the FAC Partners, our 501c3 that helps to fill the funding gap for our students to have a true arts school experience. You can make a tax-deductible donation to the Partners at https://www.facpartners.org. For those who work at corporations that do a donation match - this is a great way to double your impact and ensure that we can continue to offer our students life-changing artistic experiences!
Also:
Please be sure to mark your calendar for all FAC performances. Make every effort to come out and support your fellow artists. Students supporting their colleagues both in an out of their own area of study help to cultivate a strong school culture. Upcoming opportunities to show your support:
- Our Autumn Dance Offerings on Thursday (Nov. 2)
- The opening weekend of the fall play Everybody on Friday and Saturday (Nov. 3 -4).
Give our students the audience they deserve! Encourage your FAC friends and family to attend performances. Make it a fun night out (we are the best entertainment deal in town!). Bring friends from outside the FAC to attend an event and tell others about our great offerings.
Here's the latest from the halls of the FAC...

James Clear: 3-2-1 Newsletter
Build Your Foundation
"Don't overlook the basics. Don't ignore the foundation. How long can a tree remain standing without the roots?"
Keep it Simple
"Simplify. What can be done in three steps should never be done in four. Each link in the chain is a potential breaking point. Fewer links means fewer chances of failure."
Notice, Improve, Grow
"When you tolerate an error, you rob yourself of learning.
When you ruminate on an error, you rob yourself of happiness.
Notice it, improve it, and move on from it."
