Mrs. Habben - Grades 3-8 Science & STEAM
In 3-5 science we are learning about speed and energy and are preparing to make a marble roller coaster.
In 6-8 science we will be starting lesson 3. The food web poster is due on Wednesday 10/9.
Last week in STEAM we had Chris Smith as a guest. He brought his barge and talked about what he does with dock lifts. The students were able to watch videos of it working on the water as well as seeing the barge in person and watching Mr. Smith operate it. We also started our leaf chromatography experiment while we still had a few green leaves.
Miss Schmidt - Grades K-2
God’s Time
Our theme this week: “Sinful self-reliance needs to be changed to reliance on God.” We hear about Jacob in the land of Haran with Uncle Laban in lesson 8A. We also learn about Jacob’s return to Canaan in lesson 8B.

Special Social Studies Activity for Friday- The children are going to present a worker from the community. They will present their worker to the class. If you want to join us for this, we will be presenting our workers at 2:00 on Friday! Thank you for your help with this!

You should have received an orange paper with important dates on it, make sure to take a look. It is starting to get chilly outside when we have recess so please bring a light jacket or sweatshirt for your child to wear outside.
A reminder for 3K that there can not be peanuts in the snack that is brought. Drop-off does not start until 12:15 pm and class begins at 12:30. Please make sure to let me know if your child will not be at school.
