Hello Sandhill Families,
We had a fun and memorable week before Spring Break! Here are a few highlights:

Our 4th and 5th graders had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with Forward Madison FC to help design their new mascot. It was an engaging and creative experience that connected our students with a larger community effort.

Our Kindergarteners went on a field trip and followed it up with a "Day Without Technology" to help them understand what school was like in “the olden days.” This activity ties in beautifully with their Wit & Wisdom module, "America Then and Now", which explores the ways American life has changed over time through traditions, inventions, and daily experiences. It was a fun and meaningful way to bring their learning to life!
We hope you all have a safe and restful Spring Break. We’ll see everyone back at Sandhill on Monday, March 31st at 7:35 AM!

Important Pool Closure Notice
We would like to inform our community that the SASD Pool will be closed from May 1 to July 15, 2025 for scheduled maintenance updates. During this time, we will be making improvements to enhance your future swimming experiences.

Antiracism Project: Educating for Equity, March Resources
We are highlighting two events in March: Women’s History Month, World Day of Muslim Culture, Peace, Dialogue and Film, and International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The LMS team has compiled the following resources for your review with your children this month. Resources are sorted in two parts: 1. Elementary students and 2. Middle & high school students.

We REALLY appreciate all our amazing staff! They show up every day for our kids and go above and beyond for them. April WFK Meeting - Monday, April 14!
Please consider joining us Monday, April 14 for our monthly WFK meeting. We will be meeting in the school library at 6:30pm, and free childcare is provided. Agenda items include plans for our annual Crane Games, the School-Family Picnic, Stella's Fun Run, and more! Throughout the school year, we are super busy supporting our students and staff and planning events, and it takes a lot of volunteer time to make it all happen. If you are interested in helping out in any way, please let us know!
