Dear Daniel Morgan Middle School Students and Families,
I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer break! If you have moved, please call the office and let us know. This week you should have received a mailing from our school. If you did not receive the mailing, please contact the office, as we may need updated contact information from you.
All beginning of the school year forms will be completed online this year. Please ensure you have a PowerSchool login so that you can update your information. If you need assistance, please contact the office.
All entering 7th grade students are required by state law to have updated vaccines before attending school. Students must have their Tdap booster and the first dose of the Meningococcal vaccine. There is also an optional HPV vaccine. Please ensure your rising 7th grade students has received these vaccines prior to the first day of the school year. If you have any questions, you can contact our nurse Doug Shaw at shawd@wps.k12.va.us.
As a reminder, please review the DMMS cell phone policy with your child. Cell phones, smartwatches, and earbuds must be off and away at all times. If parents or guardians need to contact their student, they may call the office. If a student needs to contact home, we have a phone in the front office for students to use. The cell phone policy is attached to this communication.

All student-athletes interested in trying out for a school sport for the 2024-2025 school year will need to have a completed sports physical turned in to Mr. Houser, Athletic Director, prior to try-outs. Physicals must be completed after May 1, 2024. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Houser.
