We are excited to share some wonderful upcoming opportunities for our students to engage in community service and fundraising through acts of kindness. These events are not only a chance to give back but also to instill in our children the values of compassion and generosity. We encourage you to support and motivate your child to participate. Every small act can make a big difference, and together we can spread positivity and kindness throughout our community. March Math Madness at TRMS:

This week we kicked off March Math Madness to review math concepts we have taught this year to all students in grades five through eight. IXL is a computer based program that allows for repeated practice of skills. By engaging with the interactive and adaptive exercises that IXL offers, students can reinforce their understanding of concepts at their own pace. The platform's personalized learning pathways ensure that practice is tailored to each student's unique needs, making learning more effective and engaging. As students repeatedly apply what they’ve learned, they transition from basic comprehension to advanced proficiency, thereby solidifying their knowledge and preparing them for future academic challenges. Ultimately, consistent practice not only enhances skills but also fosters a growth mindset crucial for long-term educational success.

Ask your student how many skills they were able to show proficiency in this week. We have daily leaderboards to track student progress with daily celebrations of our top five on the leaderboard daily. Please encourage your students to sharpen their skills by engaging in the practice of grade appropriate skills for a minimum of ten minutes each day. Thank you in advance for your support.

TRMS PTA is looking for parents interested in planning and orchestrating this year's 8th grade dance. Whether your skills are in decor, organization, project management, or fundraising, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Can't volunteer but want to make a donation at a later date?
