Early Release, Tomorrow, Friday, June 14, π11:30amπ - No 4K Classes
Dear Cumberland Families,
We were lucky with today's rain ending this morning so Camp Out day activities could proceed as scheduled, including 5th grade and 4K buddies! This annual event, including the making of S'mores, marks our last full day of school and students very much look forward to it. Thank you to the family adults who made the S'more stations happen.
Circle of Love: We would like to honor our 5th graders tomorrow on their last Cumberland day by surrounding them with love. If your schedule allows, please join us on the playground Friday morning, June 14th. All students will report to the playground upon arrival tomorrow morning. Teachers will meet classes outside on the playground at 7:47 and we will move into a giant circle on the outer edge of the blacktop. Fifth graders will walk an inner circle with those of us on the outside clapping (and cheering and whistling and generally making noise!) before they enter Cumberland for the last time as 5th graders. Adults of all age children are welcome to join in. 5th graders will sing their class song for the adults after 5K-4th grade students enter the building.
End of the Year Planning:
- Lost and Found: Everything will be on tables in the main entry. All items left after the end of the day tomorrow (June 14th) will be donated.
- All Medication: Please pick up all medication from the Health Room/Office by tomorrow 6/14.
- Report Cards: Posted to Family Access June 12th
- 5th grade Chromebooks: Students who are going to WFB Middle School in the fall will keep their Chromebooks over the summer. Students who are not going to WFB next year need to turn in Chromebooks, cases and chargers to the office today, June 13th.
Wishing you opportunities to make new family memories this summer!
Warm regards,
Jayne Heffron and Rebecca Salomon

New Immunization Requirements: The Department of Health Services has updated immunization requirements for school-aged children. These requirements for school-age children will go into effect at the beginning of the 2024β2025 school year.
Changes include:
- Meningococcal (MenACWY-containing) vaccine has been added as a requirement for students entering seventh grade, and a booster dose for eligible students entering 12th grade.
- If a child has had chickenpox, a parent report of chickenpox disease is no longer acceptable for exemption from the varicella (chickenpox) vaccine requirement. Children must have a diagnosis of chickenpox from a qualified health care provider (M.D., D.O., N.P., or P.A.) to be exempt from this requirement, however existing exemption options still apply.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services website includes additional information. We encourage you to contact your healthcare provider if you have specific questions, or to schedule an appointment for a vaccine.
