Caregivers: We Want Your Input! ๐ฃ ๐ Short Survey to Help Us Expand Youth Programming Opportunities
Caregivers: We Want Your Input! ๐ฃ ๐ Short Survey to Help Us Expand Youth Programming Opportunities
Roseville Area Schools is conducting a Needs Assessment about Out-of-School Time programs in our district. Out-of-School Time programs provide opportunities for students before school, after school, on non-school days, and during the summer.
This survey will help identify current needs and gather input from the Roseville Area Schools community about Out-of-School Time priorities and resources! Your input will guide us as we make important decisions about Out-of-School Time programming for students.
(Please note that this version of the survey is designed for parents and caregivers. If you are an employee at the school, watch for the staff version of this survey to come from your principal.)
It has been a rough winter for respiratory illnesses. It seems like just about everyone is either recovering from, actively sick, or coming down with something. Over the last week, about 15% of Parkview students have missed one or more days due to illness. We are seeing a few cases of Influenza A, Covid, and Strep, but most are viruses that cause fevers, sore throats, congestion, and cough. Here are a few reminders:
Prevention is the best protection. Wash your hands, avoid prolonged contact with people who are sick ,and stay current on your recommended vaccines, especially for influenza and Covid. For more information check out these respiratory illness tips from the Mayo Clinic.
If you become ill, help protect others by staying home until your symptoms improve. Here are some general district guidelines to help you decide.
Students who have a fever of 100 degrees or greater need to stay home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
Students who have vomiting and/or diarrhea need to be symptom free for 24 hours before they return to school.
District guidelines by illness: Is my child well enough to go to school?
We also ask that you report to the Health Office any confirmed cases of infectious diseases such as strep throat, chicken pox, pertussis, influenza, pink eye, etc. and remember to report all school absences to the school attendance line.
Thank you,
Little Canada Health Office

Student Social Emotional Learning & Equity Survey
As part of our commitment to provide Excellence, Innovation, and Equity in All We Do, Roseville Area Schools wants to hear from our students about their experience in our schools. During the weeks of March 17 and March 24 we will be conducting a social emotional and equity survey for students in grades 5-12.
Questions on the survey are about many topics relating to studentโs experiences in school and their social emotional awareness and well-being. The data from the survey will help our district improve the overall school experience for our students.
This annual survey is voluntary and students may decline to take any part of the survey or the whole survey. Students taking the survey will remain anonymous; however, we will gather some student information to disaggregate the data by race, gender, grade level, and school. Please feel free to review the survey questions in the links below and complete the Opt Out Form by Friday, March 7 if you choose to have your student opt out of the survey.
