COVID-19 UPDATE FROM PRAT
The District 41 Pandemic Response Advisory Team (PRAT) provides weekly updates to the District 41 community.
Please Stay Safe D41: Wear a mask, watch your distance, avoid crowds, wash your hands, get your flu shot, and stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone else who has COVID-19.
Metrics Summary - Week 43 (10/18-10/24)
Notable data from this week:
- Region 8 remains on Tier 1 Mitigation (does not affect schools)
- Beginning 10/15, IDPH began accepting rapid antigen tests into the data
- DuPage County youth cases continue to rise.
- DuPage County Health Department cedes "Learning Plans" to individual superintendents on October 26, 2020.
*The continued level of Substantial warrants re-evaluation and continued monitoring of local and school transmission trends. This data, as it affects District decision-making metrics, will be reviewed along with public health guidance from DuPage County Health Department on Monday, 11/9 when Week 44 data is released.
The District will continue to incorporate this health data along with our other influencing factors to stay in person at school: exclusionary requirements, staffing, safety protocols and equipment, and parent responsibilities.
For more detailed information, please view PRAT’s full State of the Metrics Report

The dashboard will be updated every Friday at the end of the day. Click Here for the dashboard.
Welcome Back 3rd thru 8th Grade
For those in the blended model, please remember to self certify in Skyward every day and do not send your child to school if he/she is sick, has been exposed to anyone who has covid-like symtpoms and/or has tested positive for COVID-19. We hope to continue to offer in-person learning as long as possible! Thank you for your cooperation and partnership.
Practicing Spanish at Home
The District 41 Bilingual Parent Advisory Council (BPAC) is pleased to announce a fall BPAC recorded outreach program: Practicing Speaking Spanish at Home. Based on research and collaboration with District 41 language teachers, Director of Language Programs Dr. Theresa Ulrich presents ideas for creating Spanish-speaking opportunities for students at home.
To access the recorded event, please click this link. A recording of the program is also posted on the District 41 BPAC webpage found here.
