A Message from Ms. Peterson
Hello MCP3 Families!
I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving Break and had some time with family and friends. I am thankful for each of you and your beautiful scholars; they bring me great joy every single day! Thank you for choosing MCP3 for your child's K3 experience!!
I am also thankful for the amazing MCP3 team, who continue to foster loving relationships with our scholars and with all of you. They are dedicated to your scholars' growth and learning and I couldn't be more honored to lead and serve this wonderful group of educators. Before break, they surprised me by gathering all of MCP3 into the Rauh Room and signing Happy Birthday to me at the end of the day! Each class then presented me with a special card and I got lots of hugs from the scholars. It was the absolute best gift! 😍🥰
Our last Dojo Focus Skill Challenge was for "Participation." Scholars were encouraged and praised for participating during learning times. Shout out to Ms. Harrell, Ms. Minor and the Bulldogs for being the class with the most points for "Participating"! They earned a total of 139 "Participating" points! WOW! The Bulldogs will receive their special lunch with Ms. Peterson and Ms. Perine in the party room this Thursday. ***Correction from our last Dojo Challenge: the winning class for "Being Nice" focus skill challenge was the Gators! Whoot Whoot!
Here are a few important reminders and updates for the next couple of weeks:
K4-8th Grade YMCA Aftercare Pick UP
The YMCA K4-8th Grade Aftercare is held in the Rauh Room between 4:00-5:30. Starting this week, families will be utilizing the MCP3 entrance doors to pick up their K4-8th grade scholar from aftercare. K4-8th grade famlies are to wait near the double doors to the left of our main office and call the YMCA number for their child to be walked out to them at the double doors. Our K3 families and K3 aftercare program will remain the same. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this new procedure for the North K4-8th grade YMCA Aftercare program. The different programs in our building are working together to ensure smooth operations to maintain safety at all times.
Ages & Stages Questionnaire- ASQ (Round 2)
The first 5 years of your child’s life are very important for your child because this time sets the stage for success in school and later life. During these years, your child will gain many experiences and learn many skills. We want to be able to provide the best start for your child. MCP3 will provide the Ages & Stages Questionnaires, Third Edition (ASQ 3), to help you keep track of your child’s development. A questionnaire will be provided to you around the time your child turns 3 ½ (42 months) and/or 4 years old (48 months). You will be asked to answer questions about some things your child can and cannot do. The questionnaire includes questions about your child’s communication, gross and fine motor, problem solving, and personal-social skills.
If the questionnaire shows that your child is developing without concerns, we will provide some activities designed for use with ASQ-3 to encourage your child’s continuous development and will provide the next questionnaire at the appropriate time. If the questionnaire shows some possible concerns, we will contact you about getting a more involved assessment for your child. Information will only be shared with other agencies with your written consent.
The second round of ASQs were sent home today to scholars who turn 42 months or 48 months during the months of December and January. Please complete and return the ASQ by 12/13/24. We look forward to your participation in our developmental screening process! If you choose not to complete the questionnaire, we ask that you email Ms. Peterson @ allison.peterson@mkeprep.com.
Please reach out to our Office Manager Ms. Perine by emailing cassandra.perine@mkeprep.com or calling our office 414-264-6007 with any questions or concerns related to your payment or enrollment.
With Love and Respect,
Ms. Peterson
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

Theme #4: Safe and Healthy Me
Week 2- Healthy Me
While health care is primarily in the hands of a child's parents, now is the time to begin to talk with little ones about the things that keep them healthy. They can learn about why it is important to wash their hands, brush their teeth, have regular doctor visits, take their vitamins, and more. This week we will learn about practices that keep us healthy.
