VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS BRING ADDED SAFETY TO OUR SCHOOLS
There is opportunity for Humble ISD male volunteers to make a significant contribution to the education and safety of our children each school year.
Inspiring Moments: Watch D.O.G.S., which stands for "Dads of Great Students", is a national program that has been adopted by many Humble ISD Elementary Schools. In February, Humble ISD shined a light on the male role models who volunteer their time to give back to Humble ISD Elementary staff and students through the Watch DOGS program.
Iron Men is a similar program for Humble ISD middle and high schools. The primary goals are to provide positive role models for students through their visible presence on campus and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears to enhance school security.
If you are interested in joining a campus volunteer program, please contact the campus principal. Volunteers must complete a volunteer application that includes a background check and training.
Texas law now requires school districts to distribute information to parents and guardians about the safe storage of firearms. This information will help you learn about options for, as well as how to talk to your child and others about, the safe storage of firearms. humbleisd.net/firearmsafety.
