NEW HEAD FOOTBALL COACH
RCHS has named it's newest Head Football Coach. Coach Rick Zimmerman "Coach Z" was approved at this weeks board meeting to take over the helm of Rushville Football. Coach Z is currently an offensive coordinator at Seymore High School but has many years as a varsity head coach. The one proven thing about Coach Z is he is a proven winner. He turned around three different programs as a head coach and has won everywhere he has been. Coach Z brings a ton of knowledge to Rushville Football and is eager to get started!! Welcome to the Family Coach!

Thank you to coach Wink and her staff for setting that example for not only these young ladies but also for us as a school community.

Collin McCartt - Shout out to Brett Smith for making it such a special night at the school board meeting for Edward Kiwala by presenting him with his own letter jacket!

Brittney Corum - Shout out to the outstanding students and staff that I work with in my class. You all make my job worthwhile, from making me laugh with made-up songs, jokes, or stories to making me proud of all you have accomplished throughout the week, month, day, and even year. You all keep me on my toes and sometimes make me feel a little crazy, but you all make this job worthwhile. Thank you for all you do.
Brittney Corum - Shout out to all of RCHS. I wanted to thank everyone here at RCHS for making it feel like a home to me and helping me grow and learn as a teacher. It's hard to believe, but it has been 3 years since I started working here ( 4 if we count my student teaching and long-term sub position that year). I want to thank you all for the fantastic memories, fun lessons, and support during these years, and I can't wait to see where the next years take us. Again, thank you all for being you!!!!
SPECIAL SHOUT OUT
Brett Smith
I want to give a special Shout out to an educator who goes above and beyond all the time. Mr. Brett Smith is our Facilities Maintenance teacher and has developed a very special bond with many of our special needs students. Mr. Smith came to Rushville last year to continue his teaching career. He developed and started Unified Track here at RCHS and if you have not seen a Unified Track meet you need to see one!! Mr. Smith covers areas of the school in the mornings when Administrators are unavailable as well as bus duty after school. He is always asking if he can do something to help out. There is no job too small Mr. Smith! This week Unified track Star Edward Kiwala was named our student of the month and recognized at the Monthly Board Meeting. Mr. Smith presented Edward with a jacket he had made for him and called him the first ever letter winner in Unified Track at RCHS!! Thank You Mr. Smith for all that you do for kids!!!
Toni Schultz
Mrs. Schultz volunteered to sub over at the ag building on a really hard day. I would have never asked her to do that but the fact that she offered gave me permission to accept some help. We opened the divider wall and she took both classes all day which gave me the space to be here even though I wasn’t really “here” mentally. She did an art project with the classes to make something special for Miss Yager. Was it a day full of teaching and learning? Maybe not about agricultural content, but I think the students learned to show up for someone and do something meaningful for them in times of need. Mrs. Schultz encouraged all students to participate, even if they claimed to lack artistic abilities, and helped them along the way. Miss Yager now has a beautiful piece of art that lets her know she’s cared about by so many. Thank you to Mrs. Schultz and our awesome students. I know it’ll be hung up in her classroom ASAP!
