August 12, 2024
Dear TMS Community,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We hope that your family has been enjoying a restful and super fun-filled summer. TMS is ready for the Learning Adventure to begin! Summer Reading Information
Dear Parents,
We are thrilled to present SD25 Middle School Summer Reading; Adventure Awaits! I enjoyed introducing these titles to incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in recent weeks.
Attached is an electronic version of the flyer for our "Adventure Awaits" reading list this year.
Incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are encouraged to read at least one book from the list (or a book of their choice) this summer.
ELA classes welcome students in the fall for follow-up/reflective activities related to their summer reading choice. Students can read (or listen to) the books online, borrow from the *Thomas Lending Library, or check out the books from AHML. Purchasing a copy isn't required. If opting to read or listen to books online, all AHML cardholders are granted access to digital resources via the Cloud Library and Hoopla apps.
*The Thomas Lending Library is located in the TMS office during summer business hours (M-Th 7:00-3:00, and Friday 7:00-11:00).
Additionally, AHML is kicking off its Summer Reading 2024 program on June 1st. Students can earn prizes and free books with their program.
Happy Reading and Happy Summer!
