Written Out Loud Program
The Written Out Loud program is dedicated to fostering children’s creativity and confidence by connecting them with peers nationwide for collaborative storytelling. Designed to be engaging, supportive, and highly effective, it has shown measurable improvements in writing skills across diverse learners, along with increased self-confidence and a sense of belonging.
Convenient for families, the program is entirely virtual and meets once a week in the evenings, making it easy to fit into even the busiest schedules.
For those needing financial assistance, we offer a limited number of scholarships. To apply for a full or partial scholarship, please contact support@writtenoutloud.org or complete our scholarship application form as soon as possible, as funds are limited.
The Fall Session begins on September 23rd. This is a wonderful opportunity for participants to enhance their writing, speaking, and teamwork skills, explore the joy of storytelling, and become published authors by the end of the 10-week program!

Ms. G (Guel)
Ms. G is now in her fourth year at VPE, where her dedication and versatility have truly shone. She plays a pivotal role in supporting both our teachers and students, expertly facilitating small group sessions and stepping in wherever needed. Her commitment extends beyond the classroom, as she frequently serves as a substitute teacher, coaches our girls' soccer team, and contributes significantly to our extracurricular activities. PTSA
Fundraising Starts Soon and We Need Your Help!
As a participant of this year's fundraiser, you will be helping the PTSA raise funds for Teacher & Student classroom needs, Supporting Field Trips, Sponsoring programs and events like the School Dance, Candy Bar Bingo, and the Back to School Bash. It also helps us support Teacher/Staff Appreciation Items/Lunch and other needs that may arise such as essential programs, technology, supplies, and/or equipment not currently funded through traditional means.
Raising funds is critical to the success of the programs you and your children enjoy and participate in at Vista PEAK. We cannot succeed without your help! We are asking everyone to please participate and help us reach this year's goal of $20,000 !!!
The PTSA exists to help unite parents, teachers, students, and the community for the common good of all our kids at VPE. Together, we can create a healthy, nurturing environment that improves opportunities for all.
Our fundraiser will be kicking off on September 19th through October 4th. WATCH THOSE BACKPACKS FOR YOUR CHILD'S FUNDRAISING PACKET which will be sent home a couple days before!
Below are videos to show your child with the cool prizes they can receive from fundraising.
More details and instructions on how to get started will be in there! Thank you for your support!
School Drop off and Pick Up
- The VPE school day is from 8:20 AM-3:25 PM. All students need to be in their classroom or in line entering their class at 8:20 AM to be marked on time.
- Drop-off is from 8:00 AM-8:15 AM.
- Students cannot be on campus before 8:00 in the morning. If you need to drop your student off before 8:00 AM you can enroll them with our childcare partners, Rocky Mountain Kids.
- Students will line up with their classes upon arrival at school in their designated line and be walked into the building with their teacher at 8:15AM.
- Parents may line up with their students outside, but they cannot enter the building during drop off. If you need to enter the building for any reason, please sign in at the front desk.
- Parents who wish to visit the classroom during the day need to arrange this with the classroom teacher and our volunteer coordinator and follow all check-in procedures in the office.
- Students will not be signed out of school after 3:05pm

Thank you to all our parents for pulling all the way forward in the traffic loop. Your cooperation helps keep traffic moving smoothly and allows us to get more students dropped off safely and promptly!
- Only the East and West traffic loops are used for parent drop off. The front traffic loop is reserved for buses and students who receive district transportation through the Hop, Skip, Drive program.
- All parents are asked to pull as far forward as possible to drop off their student in order to allow for parents behind them to pull in and more students to drop off at once. Please do not stop at the bike racks on the East side of the building or at the Pre-K door on the West side of the building. On the East side pull all the way to the crosswalk or as far as possible if there are cars in front of you. On the West side, please pull up to the soccer goal.
- If you need to get out of your car to assist your child in unloading, please pull into a parking spot and have your child cross the crosswalk. We ask that no parent get out of their cars in the parking loop. This causes safety issues for other cars and also slows down the loops so other people cannot move through.
