The Most Powerful Healing Prayer by Padre Pio
Heavenly Father, I thank you for loving me. I thank you for sending your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, to the world to save and to set me free. I trust in your power and grace that sustain and restore me.
Loving Father, touch me now with your healing hands, for I believe that your will is for me to be well in mind, body, soul and spirit. Cover me with the most precious blood of your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.
Cast out anything that should not be in me. Root out any unhealthy and abnormal cells. Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild and replenish any damaged areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection by the power of Jesusβ precious blood.
Let the fire of your healing love pass through my entire body to heal and make new any diseased areas so that my body will function the way you created it to function. Touch also my mind and my emotion, even the deepest recesses of my heart.
Saturate my entire being with your presence, love, joy and peace and draw me ever closer to you every moment of my life. And Father, fill me with your Holy Spirit and empower me to do your works so that my life will bring glory and honour to your holy name. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT! π°
Dear Bruin Family,
It was a week full of extra-curriculars with our first Girls Volleyball game, the start of Epic Programs, our first Bruins Explore of the year, and continued Football practices, classroom tutoring, and more! We are very grateful to the many volunteers who step up to make these programs happen, especially our coaches and facilitators.
We are heading into Spirit Week next week thanks to our fantastic Student Council and our moderator, Ms. Ruiz! We kick off Monday with "Anything But a Backpack Day" and school mass as we celebrate the feast of Padre Pio. See the flier below for more details regarding the spirit week schedule and special dress up days.
Our students and teachers are continuing to thrive on campus and we are consistently grateful for the immense amount of support consistently shown to us by you, the parents of our students. As a reminder, we love to hear from you and encourage you to bring us your feedback as we partner together to provide an education for your children that benefits the whole child.
I want to wish you all a great and safe weekend with your loved ones!
Sincerely,
Mr. Ryan Nearhoff

CHILD SAFETY π¨
Did You Know?
September 21-22 || Shop safely with your children
When you are with your children in a crowded shopping area β think mall, grocery store, farmerβs market β it is important to have a plan of action to keep your group together and your children safe. Keep children as close as possible, ideally either in a cart or holding hands. Always go as a group to the bathroom, or at least in pairs, and have a designated spot to meet back up. For more tips, visit missingchildrensnetwork.ngo.
September 28-29 || STAR safety for parking lots
Consider using the STAR method to keep your children safe in parking lots. The organization Connecting for Kids offers the STAR method to remind children of simple steps when they are in a parking lot. S: STOP as soon as you get out of the car. T: TOUCH a safe space on your car and do not move. A: Pay ATTENTION to the cars around you and the directions an adult gives you. R: Wait for an adult to tell you that you are READY to go! For more tips, visit bagintheback.org.
Mission Statement
To educate TK-Eighth grade students in a Catholic environment in which the curriculum emphasizes spiritual, ethical, and social values of the Catholic faith to become responsible and moral citizens within the global community.
Philosophy
Supporting the belief that parents are the primary educators of their children, we as educators at St. Dorothy Catholic School, dedicate ourselves to partner with the parents in preparing children to become contributing members of the community. To achieve this, we provide holistic development in psychological, emotional, social and physical health, with an emphasis on academics, faith, and Christian service.
In collaboration with parents, we champion student achievement through the presentation, practice, and study of Catholic doctrine, a strong academic curriculum, multimedia and multi-cultural experiences, physical education, extracurricular programs, and the dedicated commitment of the teachers and staff.
