Strategic Plan Focus
#The Meaning of Liberty: Ms. D'Addona and Ms. Davey engage their global history students in a QFT lesson as an opening to their exploration of The French Revolution. See pics here.
#Brain Power: Students in Mrs. Carpiniello's AP Psych class invented their own Superheros! Students wrote origin stories and then manipulated the 7 parts of the brain to establish "superpowers." They then drew, or used AI to create visual renderings. See pic here.
#Art Comes Alive: Students in Sra Ferrante's AP Spanish class used the QFT method to uncover Frida Khalo's history through her self-portraits. As a culminating activity, students created their own self portraits accompanied by original poems. They explored the work of Spanish/Latin American writers and artists as their inspiration. Drill Safety
NYS has enacted a new law that requires schools to give communities warning about when SAFETY DRILLS will be happening. This is being done in an effort to mitigate potential anxiety for learners, parents and caregivers. Though schools may not release the exact time of the drill, they can give a window of time for the drill.
