Into April
MCA testing will also be happening in April. The middle schoolers will be taking reading test April 15/16, math tests on April 23/24, and the 8th graders will take their science test April 29/30th. The junior have a math MCA on April 15/16, sophomores take a Biology test on April 29/30, and our 9th graders will take a Pre-ACT on April 23rd. We ask that you keep these dates in mind and help your student come to school well rested.
We only have eight weeks of school left. Between an Easter break and all the activities, we are certain the days will fly by. Please encourage your student(s) to enjoy the spring, but remember there is still work to be done. Finishing the year strong, even with distractions is an important part of the process. As always, if you need anything in that process, please reach out.
We had fun with our March Madness. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our student council. We always love to have alumni here to take part in this event. We appreciate everyone who volunteered their time to make it a success.

Nobles Cooperative Electric Celebrates Outstanding Youth Leaders with Annual Youth Tour Awards
Nobles Cooperative Electric is thrilled to announce the winners of its prestigious annual Youth
Tour, a program designed to cultivate the next generation of rural leaders. This year, the
cooperative recognized five exceptional local students for their impressive applications and
interviews, showcasing the remarkable talent within the community.
The Electric Cooperative Youth Tour, sponsored by the National Rural Electric Cooperative
Association (NRECA) and local cooperatives like Nobles Cooperative Electric, provides a
transformative, all-expenses-paid week in Washington, D.C. High school students gain
unparalleled access to the nations capital, engaging with elected officials, exploring historical
landmarks and connecting with peers nationwide. This immersive experience highlights the
importance of community involvement and cooperative values, demonstrating firsthand how
electric cooperatives empower communities and contribute to national well-being. The tour
emphasizes leadership development, civic engagement and understanding the unique
principles of electric cooperatives.
Nobles Cooperative Electric received many applications for this competitive program, filled with
impressive candidates. From this strong pool, the top five applications were selected for in-
person interviews, making the final decision exceptionally challenging for the selection
committee. "We were truly impressed by the talent and dedication of each candidate," stated
Tracey Haberman, Member Services Manager for Nobles Cooperative Electric. "While we don't
typically award this many placements, the committee felt compelled to recognize the
extraordinary merit of all five finalists who went through the final interview process."
The 2024 award recipients are:
Third Place: Keyona Klingenberg, daughter of Heidi Klingenberg, from Adrian High
School – Awarded a $150 scholarship.
Fifth Place: Jozie Cuperus, daughter of Jake and Jill, from Adrian High School – Awarded
a gift certificate.
MS Field Trips - May 2025
Our dedicated teachers are planning the middle school field trips for the end of May. Exact dates will be available soon. Please be watching for communication from the teachers regarding cost and times (6th and 8th grade travel to the Cities, so travel will be outside of the normal school day.)
As we prepare, we remind the students that participation is a privilege. Students who have more than three minor or a major behavioral incident in the 4th Quarter may be prohibited from attending the trip.
Study Tables
We want to remind students and families about our study tables. Students can get homework/organizational help from a teacher almost any Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday for the remainder of the school year. Study tables is not held if it is the last day of the week.
If you notice your student falling behind or struggling, please encourage them to attend. If they can't stay the entire hour, we can make arrangements for that. This is a great opportunity for students to ask questions and get help. Teachers can check for missing work and help organize a plan to get back on track.
