WOW We Went To The Museeum, WOW!!
Ms. Oliver's class recently took an exciting field trip to the WOW Children's Museum in Modesto, where hands-on learning came alive through play and discovery! The students' eyes lit up as they explored over 70 interactive exhibits, diving into fascinating concepts of energy, electricity, magnetism, and optics. Their natural curiosity flourished as they conducted experiments, solved puzzles, and engaged with various STEM activities throughout the museum. The children moved from exhibit to exhibit testing theories, making observations, and learning through active exploration. This immersive experience perfectly complemented their classroom studies while igniting their passion for science and discovery. The WOW Museum truly lived up to its name, providing our students with an unforgettable day of educational adventure.

Costume Parade
Our annual AME Halloween Parade transformed the school track into a magical runway of creativity and excitement! Students dazzled in their costumes as they marched to spooky tunes while families lined the track, cheering and snapping photos of their little ones. The AME staff brought the world of "Inside Out to life", proving that just like the emotions in Riley's head, our teachers work together daily to guide our students toward success. From Joy's sunshine-bright optimism to Sadness's deep blue understanding, from Anger's fiery determination to Fear's protective purple presence, Disgust's green-tinted wisdom and a whole lot of orange's anxiety- our staff embodied these beloved characters while maintaining their own unique spark. The parade was a reminder of how our school community, like the control panel in Headquarters, lights up with the energy and enthusiasm of our students and families. Thank you to all who attended and made this spooktacular celebration truly memorable!

Storybook Pumpkin Patch
The AME Library transformed into a magical literary wonderland with our annual Story Book Pumpkin Patch event, which saw record-breaking participation this year! Students showcased their creativity by decorating pumpkins to resemble their favorite book characters, resulting in an incredible display of imagination and artistic talent. Mrs. Francis, our librarian, noted this was the highest participation in the event's history. From beloved storybook heroes to quirky literary sidekicks, each pumpkin told its own unique tale and demonstrated our students' love for reading. Adding to the festive spirit, any unclaimed pumpkins found a special home on Mr. O'Geen's Rocky Hill front porch, joining the Halloween festivities and delighting trick-or-treaters during the evening's celebrations.

Monster Mash
The second annual AME Monster Mash Family Dance transformed our school into a spooktacular celebration of community spirit! Students, parents, and staff arrived in creative costumes, ready to dance the night away in our festively decorated venue. The price of admission - a bag of candy - showcased our school's commitment to community service, as these sweet treats were later distributed to the homes of Rocky Hill for Halloween night trick-or-treaters. The dance floor buzzed with energy as families showed off their best moves, created lasting memories, and strengthened our school bonds through music and laughter. This enchanting evening wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support of our Michelson Parent Club (MPC), who orchestrated all the spine-tingling details. A special shout-out goes to Melodie Blackemore, whose leadership and dedication as event coordinator made this Monster Mash an unforgettable success for our AME family.
Boys Basketball - First Practice 11/01

VUSD Celebrates Championship Victory for the Legends
The Ebbetts Pass Gold FC U11 competitive soccer team, the Legends, won the Folsom Lake Surf soccer tournament last weekend. Undefeated during the regular season, they secured shut outs in the first three games, scoring 2-0, 4-0, and 4-0 to advance to the final game, where they defeated a Premier Gold team to bring home the championship trophy.
Under the leadership of Josette Summersett and Don Bowlin, the players come from schools along the Highway 4 corridor, including Michelson, Hazel Fischer, Mark Twain, CFLC, and Copperopolis Elementary. It provided a unique opportunity for the players to build camaraderie across different schools and communities.
VUSD players include Hutton, Austin, Andrew, Morgan, Zephyr, Lewis, Ryder, Landynn, Melanie, and Declan. Say congrats if you see them!
