Loving God,
As we move deeper into this final term, we give thanks for the many blessings in our school community. Guide us to be kind and patient with one another, even as the pace quickens and challenges arise.
Help our students to embrace new learning with open hearts and eager minds. Bless our teachers and staff with energy, wisdom, and joy in their work. May we take time to notice the beauty around us – in nature, in friendship, and in the small moments of laughter and care.
Strengthen us to finish the term well, knowing that your love carries us through every day.
Amen

Dear Parents and Members of our School Community,
Welcome to Week 5 of Term 4!
We’ve reached the midway point of Term 4 and what a busy and exciting few weeks it has been!
From classroom projects to outdoor activities and sporting events, it’s been fantastic to witness the energy and enthusiasm of our students as they dive into their learning and embrace new challenges.
As we approach the end of the year, it’s a good time to pause and reflect on how much our students have grown, not only academically but also in character and friendships. I am incredibly proud of the way they continue to show kindness, resilience and teamwork in all areas of school life.
Our staff are working hard to ensure a smooth transition into the final stretch of the school year. Teachers are preparing students for their next steps, whether that’s moving into the next grade or for our senior students, preparing for new adventures in secondary education.
Please keep an eye on the calendar as many exciting events are coming up, including our school Christmas Concert and Annual Community Meeting! Thank you for your continued support as we work together to finish the year on a high note!
SWIMMING LESSONS
Our Year 1 and 2 students have dived right back into their swimming lessons, and it’s been wonderful to see their excitement in the pool! The children are not only building important water safety skills but also developing confidence and independence in the water. We also appreciate the support from parents in preparing students with their swim gear each day. Your efforts ensure everything runs smoothly and it’s a big help to both staff and students.
KEYED UP MUSIC CONCERT
What an incredible afternoon we had on Monday with our Keyed-Up Music concert! It was wonderful to see so many of our talented students showcase their musical skills in front of an enthusiastic audience of families and peers. Congratulations to all who participated! You’ve shown that with practice, persistence and a love of music, amazing things happen. We look forward to seeing where your musical journeys take you next!
INTERSCHOOL ATHLETICS
What an exciting and memorable day we had at the Interschool Athletics Carnival! Our students gave their all, showing incredible sportsmanship, determination and teamwork across every event. It was a proud moment for our school, seeing them compete with such enthusiasm and representing us so well.
A big thank you goes to Mrs Mac for her dedication in preparing our students. Her hard work in organising training sessions and encouraging each child to do their best truly shone through on the day. Mrs Mac’s passion and effort ensured our team was well-prepared and her support made a big difference to the students' experience.
I would also like to thank the families who came along to cheer and support the team, it made the day even more special for our students. These events highlight the value of community spirit and it was wonderful to see everyone coming together to celebrate each child's achievements, big and small.
Congratulations to all the participants! Your effort and positive attitude are what made the day a success. We look forward to building on this experience and continuing to grow together as a team in future events.
A MESSAGE FROM MRS MAC
On Wednesday, October 30th, St. Denis sent 70 enthusiastic students to the annual Interschool Carnival at the WA Athletics Centre. All participants showed fantastic support for our team and performed to a high standard.
We had an outstanding start, dominating the 400m races as well as various field events. Throughout the day, we held the lead but were narrowly overtaken by Our Lady of Lourdes at the end. Our junior team was particularly strong, winning multiple races, field events, and team sports. The Year 3 and 4 team won the Junior Trophy, and we also took home the Field Event Trophy, which includes Turbo Javelin and Long Jump.
There were many individual accomplishments, including Lily from Year 4 and Joshua from Year 5, who won all the events they entered. Eloise, Malachy, Marcus, Blake, William, and Xavier also had a successful day. Our captains were excellent leaders, providing support to the team and setting a great example by giving their best effort in every event.
Overall, we finished in second place for the second year in a row—an achievement to be proud of! We’re excited to come back next year and aim for first place!
THANK YOU MONTELLO ON MAIN
We would like to thank Montello On Main and our dedicated P&F for providing a delicious pizza lunch for our Year 1 students. This tasty treat was a prize for the class that raised the most money in our school's recent Colour Run. The students really enjoyed their special meal, a tasty reward for their hard work and achievement. They were even inspired to build their very own restaurant in the classroom. Thank you Montello On Main for your continued support and for filling our winning class with joy and pizza!
