EL Update

December 10th, 2024

K students who scored 5 or higher on the L & S sections of the Screener need to be tested using the R & W sections before Jan. 31st to see if they are eligible for EL services
Test materials can be ordered during the Additional Material Order window (Jan. 23rd) for students who were not on the Pre-ID

unassign students who have exited the district from the WIDA test cycle
mark Tier T for any student who will be taking Alternate Access
assign paper/pencil testing to students who will be taking a paper/pencil version of the test (does not include K or grades that handwrite as part of their online testing)
if you receive an error message that the student is not listed as EL in MSDS you need to mark them EL in your student info system and ask your pupil accountant to do an SRM to individually update their status in MSDS

WIDA AMS Test Set Up opens Jan. 3rd - students who were Pre-IDed by 12/20 will be in generic test sessions
District and Building testing coordinators need to take MDE's 24-25 assessment security trainings, test administrators need to either take the modules or review the Assessment Integrity Guide - this is in addition to WIDA Access and Alternate Access training requirements
