ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL REMINDERS
An important note:
If your Pre-K child has older siblings in K-5th grade, they will enter our school campus through our Pre-K classroom when you sign in your Pre-K child. You will not have to drop the older siblings off in the carline. The older siblings will walk to the cafeteria from my classroom to pick up breakfast and then head to their own classrooms.
ARRIVAL:
- Please hang your Pre-K child's car tag from the rear view mirror and drive to the back parking lot in the mornings.
- Our classroom door opens at 7:30 AM. Siblings walk through our classroom, go to the cafeteria to pick up breakfast, and then go to their own classroom.
- Tardy bell rings at 7:50 AM.
- Sign-in your child at our classroom door before the tardy bell. If tardy, you must check your child into the front office.
- Enter back into the carline when leaving and DON'T PASS any cars (for safety's sake).
DISMISSAL:
- Park at the Civic Center and walk to the second walkway.
- Pick up all Pre-K children at 2:50 PM before K-5 is dismissed and sign them out.
- Bring your child's car tag to identify yourselves as parents/guardians. If someone on your contact list is picking up your child, I will ask to see their license to identify them. Please make them aware of that.
- We are standing just inside the doors at the second walkway closest to the buses and fence.
- You will pick up your older siblings at the next walkway (K-5 only) immediately after signing out your Pre-K child. These K-5 siblings will be considered "Walkers".
LEARNING FOCUS
We will be learning about our classroom these first few weeks of school. We will first focus on classroom rules, about feelings, what it means to be a friend, and about our classroom routine and schedule. We will be eating breakfast, lunch, and snacks in our classroom.
There are different studies we can choose from by following the children's interests. We could do a Tree Study, Insect Study, Pets Study, etc.
Please remember to label everything that belongs to your child...blankies, jackets, water bottles, and backpack. We will send blankies home on Fridays to be washed. Please return them to school on Mondays. We will wash our cot sheets weekly. Thanks!
