Message from the Head of School
Dear Parents/Carers
Thank you all so much for your support and kind words having announced our Outstanding OfSTED grading this week. Achieving the Outstanding grade in all areas is an incredible achievement that validates all the hard work and high aspirations we have held for many years. The staff at HJS have worked incredibly hard to ensure that our families received the very best education we can offer and I am so proud of this report which really shines a light on the exceptional staff, pupils and opportunities we provide. We hope you all enjoyed our drone recording - it was a fantastic way to share our wonderful news.
Another award to celebrate...following a recent audit of the canteen by Navitas we are thrilled to announce that the team have been awarded a certificate of Excellence. This award is very rarely achieved and is only given to those that achieve a score of over 95%! The focus of the audit is around food safety, health and safety, training and paperwork. A huge congratulations to Terry and her team.
Friday is Blue Day - an event organised by the school council members. We would ask that all children come to school in something blue and that families make a donation on Parent Pay. School council identified that they would like an additional water fountain on the playground and this money will go directly to this project and anything left over into purchasing additional seating. Please 'blue up' and support however we would request no football kits, make up, hair colouring, belly tops or slip on shoes as these are not appropriate clothing whilst in school.
The FoHJS have been working very hard in the background getting ready for the Summer fair. This will be held on Saturday 13th from 11am. I really hope to see lots of you there to help raise further funds for our wonderful school.
Finally, as a reminder, school reports will be sent out next Tuesday via email. Please do ensure you have the Arbor App enabled and you have logged in to enable you to you view this.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Mr Jon James
We have now ceased using Parenthub so please ensure you have downloaded the Arbor app to ensure you do not miss any important information.
HJS Autumn Term Clubs
Club details for Autumn Term have now been released to everyone. Please ensure you book your child's club place direct with the provider.
We would also request that any changes in pick up after your child's club is communicated direct to the provider as opposed to via the school office.
Spanish Club
Please note there was an error on the company's booking website for Yr 5 & 6 lunchtime Spanish. The work booklet shown has been changed to a less advanced version.
