Student Council will be hosting a dance on Friday, January 24, 2025. The cost to get in will be five dollars. All the money that is collected will go towards Riley’s Children Hospital and go towards a beautification project. This project is taking place at Jennings County Middle School. Student Council will be collaborating with FFA and Mr. Earl’s building classes. This will help beautify our school and continue to make it have the environment of a great place to learn. Please come and join us for the good of our school!

JCMS 8th Grade Students, Parents, and Guardians,

The Indiana Department of Education has introduced a New Indiana Diploma for the Class of 2029, providing increased flexibility and opportunities for students throughout their high school journey.

At this event, we will also introduce the Panther Freshman Core, a set of classes designed to put students on the right track toward graduation while opening doors to hands-on learning experiences. These include Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways and work-based learning opportunities available during their junior and senior years.

We invite you to join us on Monday, January 27th, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, for the 8th Grade Student & Parent Scheduling Conference. During this time, we will explain the upcoming changes and provide an exciting glimpse into your student’s future at JCHS.

The annual JCMS Spelling Bee will be conducted on Friday, January 31. Students who are interested in participating MUST sign up in advance at the main office beginning on Tuesday, January 21 through Tuesday, January 28. When students pre-register, they will pick up a word packet in order to practice prior to the bee. The two winners at JCMS will advance to the Countywide Spelling Bee on March 19!

Reminder: to participate in athletics, student athletes MUST have a sports physical on file at JCMS and must be registered on Final Forms.

Schneck Urgent Care at 1124 Medical Pl. Seymour, IN 47274 is open from 8 am to 8 pm Monday-Friday and 8 am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday. This location offers sports physicals for $25 cash/debit/credit (meaning they do not run insurance)

If your athlete attended tonight’s after school workout and did not have a physical on file, they received a form that can be filled out and taken to their physical. Having this filled out ahead of time will make your trip much quicker. If they do not have a form, they can get one from the JCMS athletic office!
