Worthington Academy Family Update
May 18th

May 23rd
Principal's Note
Hello Academy Families,
Welcome to summer! This will serve as your last newsletter of the 2024-2025 school year. First, let me thank you for another wonderful year at Worthington Academy. There is truly no place better than here, and our students and families help make this place so special.
As we move into summer, many students are enrolled in our summer session. Those classes begin on June 2nd, and information is being sent out separately. If you find yourself confused, just reach out to our counselor, Ron Waterwash (rwaterwash@wscloud.org), with any questions. He'll run through a wall for you.
For each of you, we encourage you to stop by Mr. Bluvol's retirement celebration this evening. That information is below. This place would not exist without Mr. Bluvol, and I look forward to celebrating him later today.
Finally, remember to be a kid this summer. Take some time to get some work done. Spend time with family and friends. Do something productive and something fun each day - don't waste days laying in bed forgetting to live. As the late, great Jimmy V once said, “If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special.” Make the most of each day this summer, and we'll see you real soon.
Be good to one another,
Dr. Flynn

The venue offers games, beverages for purchase and pizza by the slice made by Mickey's Late Night Slice for purchase. It's also in the very walkable Bridge Park area, so there's plenty to do, and your family is welcome.
Please come, talk to him about memories of your time together and wish him well as he moves to his next adventure!
Finally, please help invite people to this! Spread the word to people who have loved Pete over the years.
Worthington Connects: July Fundraiser to s support Worthington Families
Join us for the second annual Christmas in July 5K and 1 Miler, a fun and festive event benefiting Worthington Connects, a nonprofit group dedicated to providing year-round support to Worthington families facing financial hardship. This family-friendly event is more than just a race—it's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our local community. Proceeds from registration and fundraising efforts go directly toward helping families in need not only during the holiday season but throughout the entire school year. Whether you're running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, your presence helps bring hope, joy, and vital resources to those who need it most. Don’t miss your chance to win amazing grand prizes generously donated by our community partners, including Burn Boot Camp Worthington, lululemon, Frida Bee Studios, RoadRunner, and many more! Let’s come together in the spirit of giving, sunshine, and sweat to support Worthington families—one step at a time. We can't wait to see you at the starting line!
