Tipps STEAM Bits & Bytes
Weeks of September 2 - 13
From the Assistant Principal
Hello, Jr. Jag Families!
It's hard to imagine that we're almost halfway through our first grading period! Your kids are doing great! They've got the routines down well, show kindness throughout the day, and are learning like crazy. Thanks so much for the support you show our school and your kids!
There are several reminders below. Please be sure to read through them all:
- During arrival and dismissal, please stay in your cars. When you get out, it adds time to the wait for folks behind you. We are trying to get everyone in and out as quickly and safely as possible.
- Please remember that school dismisses at 3:30, and please get your kids picked up as close to 3:30 as possible. If you arrive too late, all the names will have been called, and you will have to come inside the front office to pick up your student. The best way to avoid this is to be in line with the other parents at pickup. Please be mindful that our staff has been at school all day and want to get home to their families. Late pick-ups prevent this from happening.
- We have a new protocol this year for arrival. If you arrive after 8:00, you will need to park your car, get out, and come inside to sign your student in. The best way to avoid this is to make sure your students are in the building prior to this.
- Students in kindergarten through 4th grade should all be dropped off on the gym side of the building each morning. Please do NOT drop students off at the main entrance, or in the staff parking lot in front of the school. Dropping off anywhere except the designated areas presents a major safety hazard for our students.
- For our bus-riding students. Please make sure your student does not lose their bus tag. There is a $5 charge to replace the tag, and students will not be able to ride the bus without it.
- If you want to volunteer or attend events on campus during the school day, you MUST have a background check done. This must be done each school year. You can fill out the form here.
- Grandparents Day(s) is coming up! See the flyer below for how to pre-register. Remember, even if you pre-register, you will still have to have your driver's license scanned. You can avoid this by stopping by the school prior to Grandparents Day to have your license scanned.
Again, thanks for partnering with us to make school the best possible experience for our students. As always, if you need anything, please reach out!
