Please make sure your children are attending school every day. Students who have excessive absences will have to attend mandatory summer school.

Summer school information has already been sent to the parents of the students who are required to attend. If you didn't receive anything that means that your child is not required to attend.

This is a reminder that the chromebooks issued to students are for academic and not personal usage. Students should not be using google chat, google documents, or any other type of program on the computer to hold non-academic communication. Also, students should not be going to non-authorized sites. Daily reports go out to administrators when they happens. Disciplinary action will be issued to students who are violating rules.

Z-PASS IDENTIFICATION AND BUS PASS

All students will be issued Z-Passes to wear everyday to school to:

1. board the school bus to arrive to school,

2. enter the building for identification,

3. scan for breakfast and lunch meals,

4. board the school bus at dismissal time

5. and enter after school activities.

If your child loses the z-pass there will be a replacement cost for the pass and the student will recive a school discipline referral.

All honor roll students and perfect attendance students for the 2nd nine weeks will receive 300 cougar points. Ms. Jones will have them uploaded to your system by next week.

Cell phones are not to be used during the school day unless the teacher authorizes use for instructional activities. If your child violates this rule, the phone will be taken up and turned into the school secretary. The parent will have to come to the school and pay $15 to receive the phone back. Parents can come between 9 and 3:30 pm to collect phones.

Spring ISD Parents, Students and Staff:

As we move further into the 2022-2023 basketball season, several new security measures will be put in place for all games being held at all Spring ISD campuses, effective immediately. These measures are in place to ensure the safety and security of Spring ISD students, staff, families and guests.

The following measures will be in place starting during this week’s games:

• Spring ISD students attending will need to have their student ID and present it at the school ticket window or have the wristband given to them at their high school to enter the premises.
• If students do not have their student ID, they will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
• Unaccompanied students will check-in and show their ID at the designated ticket booths and, once confirmed with their ID, will be given a wristband for admittance. They will then be able to proceed to regular security and enter the gym.

For students who have already purchased tickets and cannot meet the above requirements, refunds will be available. In addition, a ticket booth will be available at the games for attendees to dispute any admittance denials.

Please be advised that as Spring ISD and Athletics officials continue to monitor games, additional and updated security measures may be put in place.

Just a reminder that once students arrive at school by walking or getting dropped off, they can not leave the campus to go to the store or any locations. They must remain at campus. We want to keep our students safe, so please discuss this with your child.
