Our school cares about heart health! American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge starts now! Will your student choose the challenge to move more or be kind? Mrs. Metz emailed re-enrollment packets to families on Feb. 1 with the subject: Re-enrollment for 2023-24. The deadline to re-enroll and receive the early bird discount on the registration fee is February 16th. After February 16th, the regular fee will apply.

Save the date for our Fine Arts Night on Tuesday evening, March 7th! This annual event is always a treat as our students get to showcase their talents. Students in 3rd-8th grade may sign up to perform. We will need to preview all acts, so schedule an audition time as well. Deadline to sign up to perform is Monday, Feb. 20th.

For the artistic portion of the evening, any student is invited to show off their culinary and artist talents in our cupcake contest. Please let us know if your child plans to participate in the cupcake contest!

CGSAA Spring Soccer is set to begin at the end of March. Games will be played at Bishop McGuinness and Casady. CGSAA is offering co-ed leagues for students in Kindergarten thru 8th grade. In order for your student to play, the soccer sign up form MUST be completed by March 1st, 2023. The 2023 Participation Fee is $85. Once the soccer season begins, your St. Eugene FACTS account will be assessed the Soccer Registration Fee. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate your interest on the form as well. Questions can be directed to the CSSE Soccer Coordinator Brian Lair: soccer@steugeneschool.org.

Track season is just around the corner for 1st-8th grade students! There will be several practices and 1-2 meets for each grade level. For more info, check out the Track Flyer or contact track coordinator Lee Marks. Deadline for track registration is March 3rd.

If you have a basketball, volleyball, or other St. Eugene team pic, please send it to yearbook@steugeneschool.org. Make sure photos are high quality rather than preview quality (good quality file size is usually in MB, not KB). You may also share a link to the photo in your iCloud or Google Photos.

Come Exercise Your Creative Muscles! Join us Feb. 3 at 9:30am in the Atrium to help prepare materials for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. No need to be a celebrated artist. We'll be touching up paint on small figurines and making paper and other materials as needed. Additional dates include Mar. 3, Mar. 31 and May 5. Baptism of Older Children If your child is between 4 yrs. old and 17 yrs. old and not baptized, please plan to attend the Parent/Godparent Meeting on Sunday, February 12th at 10:45 in English and 1:30 in Spanish. Both will take place in the meeting rooms. Baptisms will take place after Easter. Parents and godparents are required to attend. If you want more information, or want your child Baptized, but cannot attend the meeting due to a conflict please call Judi Wilkinson 405-751-7115 ext 115 as soon as possible. This will be the only opportunity for Baptism of older children for a while, so please plan to attend if you wish to have your child Baptized.

Still Need Safe Environment? We still have a lot of people wanting to volunteer who have not completed Safe Environment. ALL ARCHDIOCESAN/PARISH/SCHOOL EMPLOYEES & ADULT VOLUNTEERS who have contact with minors or vulnerable adults must complete the new online Safe & Sacred Training (2020) including a background check. Until all steps have been completed in the online training portal, employees and volunteers may not serve at the parish/school or organization. Please complete this google form to send in your name and email address to Jennifer Goodrich so that she can send you information to begin the process! You must have updated SE if you plan on driving on field trips, being a homeroom parent, or coaching a team, etc.
