Spring is so eventful! We collected student laptops on Monday/Tuesday, watched a Solar Eclipse, inducted National Jr. Honor Society students on Tuesday evening, and ended the week with a fabulous Spring Dance Concert. Students in our many dance classes performed as did our Dance Company, Hip Hop Crew, and special guests joined in from Westside HS Pride & Inertia and even a few staff members! Thursday afternoon was also a Track Meet and Saturday was Region Honor Choir.
🌟Congratulations to all new inductees and continuing members to our West Briar National Jr. Honor Society! These students exemplified character, service, scholarship, and leadership this school year and will continue their hard work through their membership and service to our school.
❗ Now it's time for STAAR Testing! Monday we will be following Advocacy Schedule and all students will report to their assigned testing room location instead of Advocacy to start the day. This testing room is noted as "Guidance'" on their power school schedule and alpha splits can be found in the Grizzly Den. There will also be posters that list the alpha split and testing room number throughout the building. This will be a practice day so that students learn where their testing room is and then they'll be more comfortable reporting on Tuesday, for STAAR.

- STAAR Science- this Thursday, Apr 18 (8th gr only)

- Attendance on STAAR testing days is required.
Please make sure students get plenty of rest before STAAR testing days and come ready to show what they know! Reminder that our campus is closed to visitors and no lunch deliveries on STAAR testing days to ensure a secure testing environment.

❗ Laptop Chargers
ATTN: Laptop Chargers must also be turned in
Student laptop collection was last week and though we have almost all laptops in, we are still missing over 200 chargers. Please make sure that your student not only turned in their assigned laptop, but that they also find and turn in their assigned charger.
🎶 Congratulations Region Choir Students
Several West Briar Choir students participated in the Region Honor Choir Auditions and FIVE of our students earned a spot! The below five students participated in the Region Honor Choir Saturday, April 13th. This outstanding group of students got to experience a Region Choir Clinic then performed in the Region Choir Concert. This experience not only enhances their musical skills but provides them with lifelong memories and friendships.
