Falcon Flyer
Belong. Inspire. Grow.
Straight from the Hardt
Hello Ridgeline Families-- Happy December to you all! We shook off all the effects of the Thanksgiving Holiday and got back into the swing of a busy week!
Today, I started drafting my newsletter in the library and listening to Spokane County Auditor, Vicky Dalton, work with our students on what it takes to get registered to vote and how an election works. Very interesting to hear some of the “behind the scenes” logistics of the process. Strangely enough, in my day as a principal, I am now finishing my newsletter in the gym while donating plasma. Hannah Fuller and Kaycie Urbiha were on hand to transcribe for me (pictured below). They’re awesome! Our HOSA club organized our second blood drive, with a total of 70 donors signed up.
Winter sports competitions are rolling already. Our boys and girls basketball teams are looking strong and having some early success. Looking forward to watching our wrestlers and gymnasts soon! You may not know this, but we have fourteen female wrestlers, which gives us a full competitive team for the GSL.
Something fun we did this week through ASB leadership was connection week, where students participated in fun activities like scavenger hunts, RHS trivia Kahoot, and hot cocoa for everyone on Thursday.
In the spirit of giving…dozens of students participated in blanket making night, where we made 104 blankets. We appreciate all their hard work and the support of our community! Read more about it in the article below. In the spirit of receiving… I want to thank Aimee and Maddox for sewing the cool tie I am wearing in this picture with them.
With just five full weeks left in the semester this is a great time to be checking power school and reaching out to your student’s teachers if you have any concerns or questions.
As always, stay informed… read the Falcon Flyer.
Make it a great weekend! – Mr. Hardt

If you have a Sophomore or Junior interested in learning more about the NEWtech Skill Center, they can sign up for a "Welcome Wednesday" visit by filling out this form
Two dates are currently available:
