SHS Spotlight

Due to last week's snow days, our family group event and crazy sock day will take place on Friday, March 21.

Don't forget - this Friday is "Read-A-Shirt Day." Students are encouraged to wear a shirt with words on it. Students also have the option of wearing jeans or other school-appropriate pants in place of their uniform pants.

Definition of Humility: Awareness that all our gifts come from God and appreciation for the gifts of others.

Thanking God for all the gifts and talents He has given you.

Taking time to appreciate all of God's creation.

Smiling when someone gets a good grade

The Blessed Mother singing her Magnificat for all God has done for us.

Humility Sounds Like:

"Thank you, Jesus, for giving me this talent."

"Father, thank you for all that you have created for us."

"You are really good at that! Great job!"

"The Almighty has done great things for me..."

Prayer for Humility:

Dear Jesus, You said, "Learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart" (Matthew 11:29). You are God, yet You became little out of love for me. So I desire to become little for love of You. Help me to be honest about my strengths and weaknesses. May You be glorified in everything that I do! Amen.
