From the Clinic
I am so excited to be starting another year as the School Nurse at WHE! I wanted to offer a few reminders for any student that will require medication while on campus. All medications must be delivered to the nurse by a parent or guardian. Medications cannot be transported by students. All medications must have a completed Medication Administration Authorization Form. There’s also specific documentation for Adrenal Insufficiency, Allergies, Asthma, Diabetes, Seizure Disorder and Specialized Healthcare Physician Orders. You can access all of these on the HumbleISD website under Health Services or follow this link. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to seeing everyone very soon!
~Nurse Lindsey
First Day of School is Wednesday, August 7th! Doors open at 7:30AM.

Office News You Can Use
Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
Thank you for showing patience and grace during the first few weeks of school as students and parents learn our WHE Arrival & Dismissal procedures. Typically we cut down our time each day throughout the first week!! Our system really does work well if everyone follows the process and traffic flow. Be sure to take a few minutes to read over the WHE Arrival & Dismissal Processes below, look over the traffic patterns on the maps and ask questions for clarification as needed. Please remember that we do not turn left into the front or back parking lots. When that happens, the lines on the street back up. We appreciate your cooperation and assistance in keeping everyone safe.
IS YOUR CHILD A BIKE RIDER?
Bike racks are outside of door 6 near the Plum Valley Playground & Back Parking Lot. Please be sure to bring a lock for bikes, as this area is not fenced in and is unattended throughout the school day. WHE is not responsible for bikes left unlocked during the day. We appreciate your flexibility!
Campus Visitors & Forgotten Items
All visitors should use the front doors and check in with the WHE Front Office upon arrival to campus. Please be prepared to provide your identification/license to our receptionist when visiting WHE. All visitors must wear their WHE Visitor badge in a visible place while in the building, and must check out with the front office upon departure.
In order to maintain safety and not disrupt our learning environment, guests are only permitted to visit the specific area they have signed in for. This may include the main office, clinic, meeting rooms, cafeteria, or other designated areas. Visitors are not allowed on our playgrounds during recess, and may not visit classrooms or academic spaces without prior authorization from WHE administration. Thank you for helping to keep our campus safe!
Forgotten items and/or lunches can be dropped off in the front foyer. Please let the front office know that you have dropped something off, and make sure that the item is clearly labeled with your child's name & teacher/grade.
Volunteer/Chaperone at WHE!
If you plan to volunteer at WHE or attend a field trip this school year, you must complete the Volunteer Application prior to doing so! This application must be renewed each year. Get a head start and do it early!
YMCA After School Program
The YMCA After School Program makes the most of your child's after school time by offering active learning opportunities designed to engage and expand young minds. After school care is offered Monday through Friday from school dismissal through 6:30 p.m. at all Humble ISD elementary schools.
Lake Houston Family YMCA is now registering for the 2023-2024 school year for YMCA After School Care. Learn more about YMCA After School Care and get registered

Families can access the WHE Online Payment/Revtrak site to pay class fees and purchase a WHE school shirt! If you cannot pay online, you may bring cash to Woody’s Welcome or to the front office once our building opens for students.

- 2024-25 WHE Spiritwear: Purchase your 2024-25 WHE spirit shirt ($10). Shirts pre-ordered by 8/4 will be available for pick up at Woody's Welcome. In addition, shirts will be available for purchase during Woody's Welcome, and will continue to be available for purchase throughout the school year as supplies last.
Humble ISD App & Rooms
Rooms is a new parent-teacher communication platform for elementary campuses. From work, to home, to school, mobile devices have become a key tool to navigate and communicate throughout the day. The Humble ISD mobile app allows families to stay up to date with campus and district news and events. Now, our Humble ISD mobile app makes it easier for elementary families to stay connected with teachers and class information right in the Humble ISD app!
With Rooms, parents are able to:
View each elementary student's class information, including announcements and materials.
Engage directly with teachers in two-way messaging.
Keep all communication in one convenient location ~ the Humble ISD mobile app!
Be sure you have the current Humble ISD mobile app downloaded on your mobile device, and notifications enabled, so that you can receive important updates from your child’s teachers. Check out our new Rooms Support website, where you can find helpful information, quick videos and frequently asked questions about using Rooms.
